Gianluca Di Marzio reports tonight that Lyon are currently in talks with Premier League outfit Liverpool over a move for Swiss attacking midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.
Formal talks are underway for a permanent move, with The Reds’ asking price set at €8m – Les Gones have offered €6m for the time being.
With the Swiss international coming off the back of a strong Euro 2020 performance – scoring three goals as his country reached the quarter-finals, Lyon have made of Shaqiri one of their prime targets. The former Bayern Munich and Inter men had made 22 appearances this season for Liverpool.
